DM Properties Supports Two Inspiring Charity Events

At DM Properties, we believe in giving back to the community. Recently, we had the pleasure of sponsoring two remarkable charity events: the 5th Edition of Building The Future’s fundraiser and the 10th Charity Golf Tournament of the Ronald McDonald House of Málaga.

5th Edition of Building the Future Fundraiser

From May 23 to June 1, the real estate sector of Costa del Sol came together for a series of events to support local associations and educational projects in Uganda. Highlights included sports competitions – football, padel, and beach volleyball – and a wonderful dinner gala at Club Med Magna Marbella.

In just five years, this initiative, spearheaded by Jose Carlos Leon, president of our local real estate association LPA (Leading Property Agents of Spain), has supported 12 local associations and built a school in Uganda, providing education for over 350 children. The fundraising dinner on May 30 was a resounding success, with over 400 guests and contributions from more than 150 companies. Notable attendees included Marbella's Mayor Ángeles Muñoz and other local authorities.

During the dinner, guests enjoyed live performances, inspiring talks, and a tribute to all supporters. Funds raised benefited local associations like AVOI and Club Deportivo Marbella Juega, and contributed €30,000 to the Ugandan school project through RWENZORI FOCUS.

Members of our team at DM Properties also participated in the beach volleyball tournament on June 1, which was a fantastic day of sport and camaraderie, highlighting the unity and support within the real estate sector for this noble cause.

10th Charity Golf Tournament of the Ronald McDonald House of Málaga

Held on June 8 at the Real Club de Golf Las Brisas, this tournament aimed to support families with seriously ill children receiving treatment in Malaga. The event raised over €30,000, ensuring the Ronald McDonald House can continue offering a free home and support to these families.

Participants enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, followed by a raffle and charity auction with prizes from sponsors like METT 5* Hotel & Beach Resort Marbella-Estepona and Fundación Caja Sur. The event highlighted the importance of the Ronald McDonald House, which provides a "home away from home" for families during their child's treatment.

We will also be supporting them in the next tournament to be held on August 8 at Real Club Guadalmina Golf.
