Work begins on El Lago Club in the Real de La Quinta
La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario has begun construction on El Lago Club (The Lake Club) in its Real de La Quinta residential complex in Benahavís.
As the name suggests, El Lago Club at Real de La Quinta will be a leisure complex next to an artificial lake, surrounded by a golf course.
Expected to be completed in 2025, the El Lago Club will reportedly become the largest leisure centre associated with a residential complex on the Costa del Sol.
There will be a restaurant area, a health & wellness area; a golf course and a lake with a sandy beach area and a jetty where guests can enjoy recreational activities such as kayaking, windsurfing or stand-up paddleboarding, among others. The facilities will also include tennis and paddle tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, and a children's play area.
El Lago Club is located at the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves, a UNESCO biosphere reserve, with panoramic views over Marbella and the Costa del Sol.
Residents of the Real de La Quinta will benefit from preferential access to the El Lago Club.
Real de La Quinta comprises 1,000 homes over four residential developments, namely Olivos, Quercus, Palmitos and Sabina, with future projects expected.
There are also plans for a 42-room boutique hotel and a branded residences development of 42 villas, according to an article in Observatorio Inmobiliario.
Real de La Quinta will involve an investment of approximately 600 million euros, something which Borja Pascual, CEO of La Quinta Real Estate Group, says will boost the Malaga-Costa del Sol economy “thanks to the attraction of tourists and foreign investors.”.
